Scope of Services -
Designed, implemented and coordinated a three day workshop on media skills
development; facilitated with three others media professionals, media training
workshops for 40 WASA managers; assisted in the learning process of teaching
the executives how to interact professionally with news reporters and opinion
makers; selected the site for the training; worked with site manager to
coordinate every logistical detail to ensure that the training ran smoothly
and without incident; hired the training staff; produced all materials used
in the training; arranged for meals; contacted local news reporters who
shared their experiences with the executives and in turn the executives
were able to ask off-the-record questions and comments to reporters.

Workshop course offerings
included, Crisis Communications Planning and Management, How to Deal Effectively
with the Media, Preparing Executives to Be Spokespersons for their Company;
How to Maintain Grace Under Pressure and Off-the-Record Dialogue with Local
Reporters from various news organizations.

Results -
The participants rated the training outstanding in every aspect of the evaluation,
including, choice of facilitators, workshop content, workshop materials,
opening plenary, luncheon, site location, meals, and overall training. The
Director of WASA was extremely pleased with the Institute and asked that
training be repeated for other managers in the organizations including members
of the Board of Directors
